Everything you need to know about match scores, privacy, and how Hireva fits into your job search.
General
Hireva compares your resume against a specific job description and gives you a match score, a list of missing keywords, and focused suggestions for what to fix before you apply.
No. Hireva doesn't screen or reject candidates. It simulates how an Applicant Tracking System would likely read your resume against a given posting, so you can see gaps before a real ATS does.
Yes. Match scores and keyword gaps are specific to the job description you paste in. A resume that scores well for one posting can score very differently against another.
PDF resumes are supported. If your resume is in Word or Google Docs, export it to PDF first for the most accurate parsing.
ATS Score & Results
There's no single universal cutoff, since scoring depends on the role and how the job description is written. As a general guide, scores in the 70s and above tend to indicate strong alignment, while anything notably lower is worth reviewing keyword by keyword.
Parsers often look for the exact phrasing used in the posting. If the job description says 'stakeholder management' and your resume says 'worked with stakeholders,' it may not register as a match even though the meaning is similar.
No tool can guarantee that. A higher match score improves the odds your resume gets past automated screening, but hiring decisions ultimately involve recruiters, hiring managers, and factors outside of resume text.
Yes. You can re-run the analysis as many times as you'd like against the same or a different job description to see how your edits affect the score.
